Wild Alberta at the Crossroads has won the gold medal in the North American Independent Publisher's 12th Annual Book Awards, 2008, in the Best Regional Non-fiction category - Western Canada.
The awards were presented on May 30th, 2008, at BookExpo America in Los Angeles, and the gold medal arrived in Alberta in June.
We at NatureWatch Press could not have achieved this alone. The book is the result of a highly interactive and creative team effort.
To Francis Hunter go our very special thanks for taking our images and manuscript and transforming them into a work of art. We wish also to thank most warmly Joyce Hildebrand for her expert and rigorous editing and proofing, and Robin Poitras for his excellent and most beautiful cartography. Everbest Printing we thank for the high quality of their work, the patience of their Doris Chung and all behind the scenes in helping us bring the project to fruition, and their completion of the job right on budget and on time.
This gold medal really belongs to the entire Wild Alberta team. Our heartfelt thanks to each of you.
