Book Award

Wild Alberta at the Crossroads won the gold medal in the North American Independent Publisher's 12th Annual Book Awards in 2008, in the Best Regional Non-fiction category - Western Canada.

The awards were presented on May 30th, 2008 at BookExpo America in Los Angeles.

We at NatureWatch Press could not have achieved this alone. The book is the result of a highly interactive and creative team effort.

To Frances Hunter go our very special thanks for taking our images and manuscript and transforming them into a work of art.

We wish also to thank most warmly Joyce Hildebrand for her expert and rigorous editing and proofreading, and Robin Poitras for his excellent and most beautiful cartography.

And we sincerely thank Everbest Printing for the high quality of their work that was so critical in bringing this project to fruition, and for completion of the job on budget and on time.

This gold medal truly belongs to the entire Wild Alberta team. Our heartfelt thanks to each and all of you.
